Vata, Pitta, and Kapha-are basic concepts in Ayurveda, which are to represent any two of the five elements – earth, water, fire, air, and ether. They govern the physiological and psychological functioning of the body and mind. Each person has a different constitution or Prakriti, a disposition composed of various proportions of these Doshas. It helps you understand the natural tendencies of the body, any health predispositions, and how to maintain balance.

Vata: Artistic, optimistic, spaced-out, anxious.
Pitta: Intelligent, ambitious, decisive, but also quick to anger and impatient.

Vata: Sleeping light and fitfully, one may wake up multiple times.
Pitta: Generally moderate, often waking due to excess heat.

When your doshas are balanced, you have health, vitality, and emotional stability. In case of imbalance, they are responsible for a variety of health disorders and emotional disturbances:
Vata Imbalance: Anxiety, insomnia, dry skin, constipation, and joint pain.

Kapha Imbalance: Can result in weight gain, lethargy, depression, congestion, and dull
